Gitta de Ridder

Gitta de Ridder is a Dutch-English artist who stands out for her pure and simple artistic approach that touches even the greatest sceptic straight in the heart. After living in London for 10 years, the singer and songwriter has been back in the Netherlands since early 2018, residing in the “New Land” of Flevoland where she grew up during her younger years.

Inspired by both the modern and traditional folk scenes, and the allure of a memorable pop hook, she writes songs that carry unexpected depth while still feeling light and authentic.

With three albums and a previous EP released between 2014 and 2020, she has received airplay on BBC6, BBC Scotland, IRE1, 8Radio Ireland, as well as Dutch stations like Radio 2, 3FM, Radio 5, Veronica, and many local stations. She has also received widespread critical acclaim in both Dutch and English publications.
