Folksinger and songwriter Margot Merah writes songs that at can remind you of rural Ireland and other times transport you to the New York folk scene of the early sixties. Margot's songs are hopeful, comforting, sometimes melancholic and joyful. They are like little pearls and sparkles in a world that can be unfriendly and dark.

Margot has traveled the world with her music. After years of playing, touring and recording in various duos, she released her first solo album in 2022: Take Heart. The album went straight to number 1 on the Euro Americana Chart and received great reviews.

Margot loves to share the stage and does so with The Lasses and her own trio (with Alan McLachlan and Gerco Aerts). Twice a year she gets together with American singer/violinist Kathryn Claire for a tour in either the USA or Europe.
